RIVERS AND OTHER WATER WORKS

Rivers. Creeks. Ponds. Lakes. Swamps. Falls.
Water is the essence of life on Earth. However, these are gamer's challenges in strategic wargamming. These obstacles can determine the outcome of any war. So gamer's must ask themselves: "Is it too wide to cross? Is it too deep to travel through? Can we build a bridge over it? What can we do?"
Gamers usually resort to represent rivers with makeshift items like blue masking tape or construction paper. Most of these river products on the current market are too expensive for any average gamer's budget. Some who have bought these items expressed their dismay by saying it's not the best representation for their gaming campaign (too thick or not wide enough)
We offer an inexpensive alternative to add these important terrains to your gaming experience and collection. Our rivers are constructed on a wide base (5" across; rivers occupy 4" wide with 1/2" of bed on each side) and comes in curves, straights, "Y"-sections and other special "terminal" sections. These are sold in sets (from starter kits to "mix-and-match") or individual pieces. Like all of our products, they are built tough to withstand every gaming punishment.
CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIAL
Each piece is individually handcrafted; therefore, no two pieces are alike! The base is made of 1/4" thick Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) to assure that the pieces do not warp and that connecting them remains constant. The river is made with a plaster compound which adheres to the MDF. The edges (banks) are glued and sanded. The rivers are coated with a stronger glue to assure water and wear resistance. The artists paint each piece by using dry brushing technique. Later, a glossy urethane coating is applied to the river which gives a realistic "wet" look.
Some of our complex river pieces are made from rigid high-density foam, such as our bridge pieces. They are very lightweight and extremely durable.
FEATURES THAT GAMERS WANTED
Our rivers are "low profile", which nearly flushes with the game boards. The rivers are 4" wide (from bank-to-bank" which makes them very formidable as real rivers instead of some products that look like creeks. Although these pieces are bulkier and may take more space to store, these river sets are very durable for many years of play.
HOW MUCH?!
Pricing is determined by the style of rivers (straights, curves and "Y") and how the pieces are populated. This means that rocks and debris populating a piece will be higher than a simple piece.

| Bridge and River Section
A simple bridge about 3" wide with a special river piece to place the bridge on. The bridge is removable. This section is made from rigid high density polyurethane foam.
